Tessa holds a Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Nevada. She has built her practice around helping adults manage anxiety and develop coping skills that hold up in daily life, with additional clinical experience in trauma, substance use, and relationship difficulties.
Her Approach
Tessa works with adults who feel like their mind never fully stops. The person who comes to her is often someone who replays conversations at 2 a.m., second-guesses decisions they already made, and wonders why they can’t just let things go. They’re not looking for someone to hand them a list of tips. They want to understand why they think the way they do and learn how to change it.
Tessa works at a slower, more deliberate pace, which is by design. She draws on IFS, DBT, and CBT, moving between them based on what a client actually needs rather than what fits a template. Clients tend to describe her as someone who listens without rushing to fix, and who makes it easier to say the hard thing out loud. Progress in her sessions is built up over time, so that what a client gains doesn’t fall apart under pressure.
