Sarah Brey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and has been practicing since April 2024. Her clinical focus centers on adults navigating trauma and substance use, with particular attention to the patterns that form when one reinforces the other. She also helps clients work through depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.
Her Approach
Sarah works with adults of all genders, and brings particular focus to LGBTQ+ clients, offering care that affirms identity. Sarah often work with people who have spent so long putting others first that they no longer recognize their own needs or feel entitled to have them. A client might come in relying on alcohol to get through the week, carrying the aftermath of abuse they have never fully named, or feeling like they disappear inside their own relationships.
Sessions with Sarah are oriented around building a concrete, grounded relationship with yourself. She draws primarily on Internal Family Systems, and uses somatic therapy and DBT techniques to work with what the body holds alongside what the mind knows. The aim is to address what the body holds alongside what the mind knows.
In practice this might look like journaling exercises, assigned readings, parts work, or energy-based practices. Clients often describe sessions as structured enough to feel purposeful, and open enough to follow what needs attention that day.
