Who Is Luisa Martinez-Cruz?
Luisa Martinez-Cruz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Nevada and South Carolina, with over 10 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
Her graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy is the foundation for a practice built around three clinical areas: trauma and PTSD, including domestic violence and emotional abuse; relationship and family systems, including marital conflict, infidelity, and multigenerational patterns; and life transitions involving anxiety, depression, and identity shifts.
Who Luisa Works With
Chronic conflict, trauma, or prolonged life stress has left you feeling lost, exhausted, and disconnected. You are kept up at night by the fear that you will never find peace, or that you are fundamentally the problem. You want to rebuild your self-worth and understand your patterns without it becoming another reason to blame yourself.
Luisa works with adults and older adults individually, as couples, and as families. She has a particular focus on women navigating identity and self-worth after abuse or chronic relational conflict.
How She Works
Clients describe her as warm and emotionally attuned, with a grounded, steady presence that helps stabilize them when they feel most dysregulated. Her style is direct and collaborative and her goal is always to move from insight to action.
Certifications & Specialized Training
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Nevada — A standalone dual license that allows Luisa to assess and treat substance use and compulsive behavior alongside co-occurring mental health issues.
