Veronica Thomas is currently completing her supervised hours as an MFT Intern in Nevada. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, and a Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her clinical focus centers on trauma, grief, and anxiety, with roots in youth mentorship and community work that go back to 2005.
Her Approach
Veronica works with teenagers, adults, and elders, including single mothers and older adults managing the particular losses that come with age. She is especially attuned to clients for whom faith and spirituality are part of how they make sense of what they are going through, and she can work within that framework without imposing it.
Her style is steady and conversational. She draws on CBT, trauma-focused approaches, and narrative therapy to help clients understand how their past is showing up in their present. People who have not always felt comfortable in traditional therapy settings tend to find it easier to talk with her than they expected.
