Taylor Dol is a Clinical Social Worker Intern in Nevada. She earned her Master of Social Work from Portland State University in 2022 and has experience across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, working with children, teens, and families. Her work focuses on behavior, emotional regulation, and how family dynamics shape daily functioning.
Her Approach
Taylor works exclusively with children, preteens, and teenagers, including those whose difficulties are showing up as behavioral problems, school struggles, or withdrawal that adults around them cannot quite explain. Many of her younger clients are not able to say what is wrong in words, and Taylor is trained to work with that. She draws on attachment theory, developmental frameworks, and family systems thinking to understand why, and what they need in order to feel safe enough to change.
Sessions with Taylor are adapted to the age and pace of each child. She uses art therapy and play-based approaches for younger clients who communicate better through doing than talking, and shifts toward more structured skill-building with teens ready for that kind of work. Families who have been told their child is difficult or treatment-resistant often find her approach a different experience.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time in nature, being with family and her dog, Mowgli, and engaging in creative activities like crocheting and embroidering. She also has a passion for reading fantasy novels and playing board games.
