Marie Corbin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Nevada and Arizona with over 25 years of clinical experience. Her work spans a wide range of settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, military-related environments, community mental health clinics serving individuals with serious mental illness, private practice, and telehealth.
Marie’s clinical focus centers on trauma and relationship concerns, particularly when these issues have been present for a long time or have not been fully addressed in previous therapy. Many of the individuals she works with have learned to manage distress by staying functional, self-reliant, or emotionally contained, even as the effects of trauma, grief, or chronic stress continue to shape their relationships and sense of self.
Before earning her LCSW, Marie spent twelve years working as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in hospital and treatment center settings, an experience that continues to inform her understanding of addiction, relapse, and the overlap between substance use, trauma, and emotional distress.
Marie uses trauma-focused and relational approaches, including EMDR, cognitive processing and exposure-based therapies, alongside psychodynamic and emotion-focused work, adjusting pace and method based on each client’s history and goals.
Marie’s practice is a good fit for individuals and couples seeking experienced, steady support for trauma or relationship issues, especially when symptoms feel entrenched or when prior therapy has not fully addressed underlying patterns.
