Garet holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons University, completed in 2021, and has been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Nevada since 2022. Her clinical work focuses on trauma, LGBTQ+ affirmative care, chronic illness, and life transitions across children, teenagers, adults, and elders.
Her Approach
Garet works with children ages 6 and up, preteens, teenagers, adults, and older adults. For LGBTQ+ clients, that often means someone who has spent years in spaces where they had to shrink themselves. For clients navigating a new physical diagnosis or chronic illness, it frequently means adjusting to a life that looks different than the one they had planned.
She works primarily through a trauma-focused and somatic lens, paying attention to how experiences live in the body as much as the mind. Her years working in corrections and law enforcement gave her a firsthand understanding of systems, crisis, and the kind of stress that does not simply go away when a situation ends. That background shapes a clinical style that is direct and built for people who have been through things that are genuinely hard.
