About

Deidria Hagerman

Deidria Hagerman is currently completing her supervised hours as an MFT Intern in Nevada under the supervision of Ryan Wynder. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hope International University in 2007. She has been working in the counseling field since 2013, bringing over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through relationship conflict, grief, and the transitions that quietly reshape a person’s sense of self.

Her Approach

Deidria works with adults and elders, including couples at a crossroads, families managing conflict across generations, and individuals who have been holding things together for everyone else while privately struggling. She is particularly attuned to clients navigating domestic stress, codependency, and the slower grief that comes from relationships that did not go the way they hoped.

Her primary tools are Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, and Structural Family Therapy, which she uses to help clients identify what is already working and build from there rather than staying fixed on what went wrong. Deidria brings a steady presence to the room that helps de-escalate high emotions, making it possible to address sensitive topics like infidelity or grief. Clients can expect direct feedback and practical tools to improve communication and personal boundaries.

Specialized Training

  • Child and adolescent counseling: Working with children and teens within a family therapy context, doing attachment-based and narrative approaches to support behavioral and emotional development
  • Family systems and structural therapy: Working with multi-generational families, doing structural and family systems therapy to shift the patterns that keep the same conflicts recurring
  • Couples and marital therapy: Working with couples at various stages, doing Gottman Method and emotionally focused work to address communication breakdown, trust, and relational repair
