Abigail Anderson (Clinical Director) is a licensed clinical social worker in Nevada, Virginia and Georgia. Prior to completing her clinical hours, she was a licensed social worker in various positions, such as medical social work, the aging population, and children and families.
She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011 and works with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship stress, particularly during periods of separation, loss, or transition.
Her Approach
Abigail works with adults and older adults. Many of the people she sees are dealing with ongoing anxiety, low mood, or the effects of trauma that show up in their relationships and day-to-day decisions. Some are going through a separation or recent breakup. Others notice the same patterns repeating in relationships and want to understand why.
In session, Abigail keeps the work steady and focused on what is happening in real situations. She helps clients look at how their thoughts, emotions, and past experiences are connected, and how those connections influence their choices. She does not rush the process, but she does stay engaged in helping clients move toward clearer ways of responding. Over time, clients begin to recognize their patterns earlier and make decisions with more awareness of what is driving them.
