Simone Jones practices as a Counseling Intern in Nevada under clinical supervision. She holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, completed in 2017. She sees clients via telehealth, with a counseling focus spanning Christian counseling, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions, including adults managing chronic health conditions alongside their mental health.
Her Approach
Simone works with adults and elders. Her clients are often people whose faith is central to how they make sense of their lives, and who are sitting with a difficult relationship, a grief that has not moved, or a self-image shaped more by what they survived than by who they are. Some of those same clients are also navigating chronic conditions like epilepsy or migraines, where the physical and the emotional have become difficult to separate.
Simone’s sessions tend to be direct and unhurried. Her faith is not a technique she applies but runs through how she listens, how she frames progress, and what she believes is possible for the people she works with. She draws from CBT and Solution-Focused approaches when there is a pattern to address, and from compassion-focused and person-centered work when what a client needs first is to feel heard before anything is solved. Adults and elders from a range of cultural backgrounds find that she does not require them to arrive composed or to soften what they are going through before she can engage with it.
