Martha Gonzalez is a Licensed Social Worker and current Master of Social Work (MSW) student at the University of Nevada, Reno. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As an MSW student intern, she will provide complimentary sessions to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) clients, offering supportive care to individuals navigating transitions in their healthcare coverage, including those who have recently lost Medicaid.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including low-income families, homeless youth ages 12–20, and psychiatric patients in an acute care facility. She currently works with children facing cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, supporting them and their families through incredibly challenging times.
She strives to provide compassionate and empathetic care to every client she works with. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and growth.
