Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College of The City University of New York and has been practicing since 2021. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada, with a clinical focus on anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.
His Approach
Most of Jonathan’s clients come in with some version of the same problem: worried thoughts about the future they can’t turn off, rumination about perceived failings that keeps circling back, and negative self-talk that has become so familiar it feels like fact. They’re looking for ways to reduce anxiety, manage depression, and get better at handling stress. He works with adults most often, and also has experience with teens 13 and up.
In sessions, Jonathan uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to explore thinking errors, reframe thoughts, and work on self-concept directly. He pulls skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, particularly self-soothing techniques and distress tolerance exercises. Mindfulness meditation is a regular part of his work too, specifically as a way to reduce rumination and help clients regulate emotion. Sessions move at a pace that gives clients room to think, and they typically end with something to practice.
