Aarika is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Intern in Nevada, practicing since March 2024. She holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and brings a background in community service spanning homeless outreach, professional development for women, and youth support. Her clinical focus centers on trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues across teens, adults, and older adults.
Her Approach
Aarika works with teens, adults, and older adults. Many of the people she sees feel stuck in patterns that are hard to move out of. They may overthink decisions, struggle to stay motivated, or feel unsure how to move forward in their relationships or personal life. Some are trying to make sense of past experiences that continue to affect how they respond today.
Sessions with Aarika are direct and forward-moving without skipping over what matters. She draws from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused approaches, helping clients connect the dots between their history and their current thinking. Her approach is motivational and supportive. Clients who want a therapist who takes their cultural context seriously tend to find her easy to open up to.
