Vanessa Martinez earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2022 and has been practicing as a Clinical Social Work Intern in Nevada since February 2023. Her clinical focus spans children as young as 6 through adults in their 40s, with a primary focus on anxiety, depression, grief, and ADHD.
Vanessa’s Approach
Vanessa works with children ages 6 through 10, teenagers, and adults in their 20s through 40s. Younger children typically come in around anger or trouble focusing, teenagers around anxiety, ADHD, and adults around depression, relationship stress, or grief.
She grew up in a military family, and that upbringing left her with something useful in a therapist: she knows what it looks like when people hold things together quietly for a long time. What most of her clients have in common is that they have been managing on their own for a while before they reach out. Vanessa’s pace is slower and steady by design. She is consistent, does not push, and does not catch people off guard. She can also be funny, and that ease tends to make it simpler for clients to say what they came in to say.
Ready When You Are
Vanessa is currently accepting new clients in Nevada through telehealth. A free consultation is a good way to get a sense of whether she is the right fit before committing to anything. If you’re ready to get started, scheduling a free consultation takes only a few minutes.
