Kevel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Nevada. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fresno, earned in 2005. His clinical work spans teenagers through older adults, with a focus on trauma, relationship issues, domestic abuse, and grief across individuals and couples.
Her Approach
Kevel works with teenagers, adults, and older adults, including Black and African American clients, single mothers, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Many of Kevel’s clients arrive carrying something they have held privately for a long time. Abuse, betrayal, or loss that was never fully processed, now surfacing in how they communicate, how they trust, or how they see themselves in relationships. She works with individuals and couples who are ready to look at those patterns honestly and change them.
She uses EMDR to process the experiences that talking alone does not reach, and brings a faith-informed perspective for clients who want their spiritual values present in the work. With two decades of life experience behind her clinical training, she brings a steadiness to the room that clients who have felt dismissed or misunderstood elsewhere tend to find grounding.
Her Clinical Expertise
- EMDR: Processing trauma that continues to drive relationship patterns and emotional responses in the present.
- Couples and Marital Therapy: Helping partners work through infidelity, communication breakdown, and the relational damage left by unresolved individual trauma.
- Christian Counseling: Integrating faith naturally into the therapeutic process for clients whose spiritual life is central to how they make sense of their experiences.
