Kat is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Nevada. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from California Southern University, earned in 2021. Her clinical focus centers on substance use, trauma, anxiety, and the self-concept questions that often sit underneath both.
Her Approach
Kathryn works with teenagers and adults, including those in the LGBTQ+ community and veterans. Her clients are often people who have tried to manage things on their own for a long time and are starting to wonder whether the way they have been coping is costing them more than it gives.
Sessions with Kathryn tend to move at the pace the client sets. She draws from Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic work, ACT, and motivational interviewing, as a set of tools she adjusts based on what a person needs. Clients describe her as someone who asks the question they were not expecting and sits with the answer.
On a personal level, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, yoga, relaxing outdoors, exploring, and creating fun memories with family and friends.
