Allyson Arendt-Devoll is a Clinical Social Work Intern in Las Vegas who specializes in LGBTQ+ mental health, disability support, and chronic illness management. Born and raised in Las Vegas, she earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2021 and has built her practice around serving communities that face both mental health challenges and systemic barriers to care.
Allyson’s strength is working with people managing multiple intersecting identities and challenges. She treats individuals navigating gender dysphoria and gender transition while also managing chronic pain, chronic illness, or disabilities that complicate both transition and mental health care. Her experience with people who have disabilities—including blind and deaf communities—means she understands how accessibility needs and mental health treatment must be integrated rather than treated separately.
As an LGBTQ+ therapist in Las Vegas, Allyson provides affirming care to transgender, non-binary, intersex, queer, lesbian, and gay individuals. She also works with working professionals managing career stress alongside depression and anxiety, sex workers needing judgment-free mental health support, and veterans navigating civilian life transitions.
Allyson uses trauma-focused approaches, Internal Family Systems therapy, and art and music therapy for clients who process experiences through creative expression. She works with teens, adults, and older adults across Asian, Black and African American, and Hispanic and Latino communities in Las Vegas.
