Oyibo Igboamazu is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and Licensed Drug and Alcohol Therapist Intern in Nevada. She holds an MBA, LLM, and Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University (2022). Her clinical focus centers on substance use, dual diagnosis, and the family dynamics that form around addiction and chronic stress.
Her Approach
Oyibo works across the full lifespan, from young children and teenagers to adults and elders, including couples and families where one person’s substance use or mood disorder has reshaped how everyone else in the household functions. She is particularly focused on clients managing chronic relapse, codependency, and the interpersonal fallout that tends to accumulate when these issues go unaddressed for years.
Her work draws on CBT, DBT, emotionally focused therapy, and structural family approaches, with play therapy and music therapy available for younger clients. She brings a multicultural and spiritually sensitive lens to her practice, and her background in law and business informs how she thinks about the systems her clients are embedded in, whether that is a family, a workplace, or a legal situation. Clients tend to experience her as someone who takes their full context seriously.
