About

Deidria Hagerman

Deidria earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Hope International University in 2007 and her Master of Science in Counseling from University of Phoenix in 2013. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, she works with individuals, couples, families, and children across all age groups.

Her practice focuses on family conflict, helping parents and children improve communication and repair relationships. She uses family systems therapy and the Gottman Method to support couples dealing with infidelity, domestic violence, and relationship struggles.

Deidria provides trauma therapy using EMDR, CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for clients with PTSD and domestic abuse histories. She treats mood disorders including anxiety, depression, OCD, and bipolar disorder, focusing on practical coping skills.

With children, she addresses behavioral issues, ADHD, oppositional defiance, and school problems using play therapy, art therapy, and expressive arts. For teens, she works on peer relationships, self-esteem, and adolescent pressures.

Deidria serves Asian, Black and African American, and Hispanic and Latino communities. As a Black woman, she brings cultural understanding to her work with marginalized populations. She is allied with LGBTQ+ clients and supports single mothers.

She treats grief, life transitions, relationship issues, and daily stress using person-centered, narrative, and solution-focused approaches tailored to each client’s needs.
