Amira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nevada. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earned in 2022. Her clinical focus centers on trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment challenges across a wide age range, from children as young as 5 through adults and elders.
Her Approach
Amira works with children, preteens, teenagers, adults, and elders, including veterans, single mothers, and clients across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. She brings a culturally aware lens to how identity and environment intersect with mental health. Many of her clients come in carrying something that has not been named yet, a persistent low mood, a relationship that keeps breaking the same way, or a reaction to something that happened years ago and still shows up uninvited.
Sessions with Amira tend to follow the client’s lead while keeping a clear thread back to the work. She is EMDR trained, which she uses with clients whose nervous systems have held onto specific events in ways that talking alone does not always reach. She brings enough structure to the room that clients know where they are, and enough flexibility that the session can go where it needs to go.
Specialized Training
- EMDR Training — Working with clients processing specific traumatic memories, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to address material that has remained unresolved through talk therapy alone.
