Alexandra is a PMHNP student completing her clinical rotations at Maryville University under the supervision of licensed psychiatric nurse practitioners. She is a registered nurse with 10 years of experience and brings extensive healthcare knowledge to her psychiatric training. She conducts sessions in both English and Russian, making her care accessible to Russian-speaking clients who want mental health support in their primary language.
Her Approach
Alexandra works with children ages 6 and older, teenagers, and adults. Many of the people she sees are trying to focus but can’t stay on task, dealing with worry that won’t turn off, or managing moods that swing in ways that disrupt school, work, and relationships. Some are caught in patterns of substance use that started as a way to manage something else. Others have spent years being told their gender identity or life circumstances make them too complicated for standard care.
Sessions with Alexandra are collaborative and focused on what the client wants to change. Her nursing background means she understands how physical health and daily functioning connect to mental wellbeing. She works with individuals, couples, and groups depending on what fits the client’s needs. Clients who have felt judged or dismissed in other settings tend to find her approach grounded and direct.
